after wanting to see what all the hype was about surrounding drybar, Brentwood's new 'blowdry only' hair salon, i must say, i was truly blown away (pun intended) . not only have they devised a convenient and simple concept, it was the execution and brand image that really impressed me. they took it a step further in differentiating themselves from what's currently out there and set the bar high for any future competition.
just some of the things i especially liked:
- simplicity: no cuts, no color, just blowouts - $35 (regardless of texture/length) with names such as Mai Tai, Cosmopolitan and The Manhattan
- atmosphere: modern and chic
- convenience: online appointment bookings and monthly memberships
- relax: sip on cucumber water, bellini's and mimosa's as you watch flicks like 'sex and the city' & 'devil wears prada'
overall, very smart execution.
