when i see videos like this, my desire for a bike escalates. can you imagine a third of the population biking as a main mode of transportation? maybe not in LA - but that's the case in the Netherlands. Watch.
This video is hilarious. It's pretty images with vintage bikes that really make me want one! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and for your sweet comment! Yours is fab; I can't wait for more! xxoo Josie http://winksmilestyle.blogspot.com
This summer I went to a beach town and everyone got around on these old cruisers from the 70's, so rad! They were rusty and had no brakes.. but I loved it.
So awesome! Biking is such a great mode of transportation - I absolutely love how it's so popular in European cities in particular! And how they're all so chic biking around in their cute clothes. It's fantastic! http://stripedandspotted.blogspot.com
I know I was there and I couldn't believe that they have multi story parking garages..JUST FOR BIKES! A see of thousands of bikes...it's so amazing! And whatever you do...DO NOT walk in the bike path or you WILL get run over!! :)
Haha, the Nederlands are some crazy and very liberal country! when i was there, i had to ride a bike constantly, and i am so bad at the rules of traffic! That is why i don't have a driver's licence and while i was in your hometown L.A. i had to ride the bus or walk! Now that was fun, somehow! i actually own a real Dutch bike, it is called 'The Senator'(written on it in gothic letters) and it is rusty, probably a hundred years old, and it is a men's bike, and therfore a bit big for me. That might be the reason i am such a bad driver, but i guess i am just dreaming constantly and far to involved to pay attention to traffic...hihi...shotgun for life! Thanx for commenting on the 3-D Doodle kit. Like your blog, follow it now (the idea of writing thank you notes to meetings etc. is fabulous!
Yeah, Dutch are crazy about cycling and re-cycling to be honest ;) The best things are the bike parks with hundreds of bikes. It's really hard to find your own! I've been to Holland for 6 months and must say I was so happy to ride a bike with bows, butterfly stickers and there were nobody to laugh at me. Seriously, I love Dutch ppl, there are so friendly and liberal (well, most of them). I wish my country was that bike-friendly as The Netherlands .. :)
Hello! Thanks for stopping by my blog... and yes I did see this, but it's so great to vie it again, just makes me want to ride my bike more! Think how much safer the roads would be with this much bike traffic instead... so cool.
Thanks for your sweet comment in my blog, i´ll entry in yours more often XD!
